Starting on March 31st, the goal was to share 64 unique stories over the remaining 64 days of the school year. Your response to the idea of CBE182 was completely overwhelming and soon the goal of 64 grew to 78 days of reflection. A community developed, with comments being left and questions asked and answered by others; a community in which stakeholders gathered in one spot in order to reflect upon student learning, share their own insights and gain new ideas to improve their practice.
CBE182 by the numbers:
- 78 posts
- 35000 page views,
- 43 schools represented,
- 7 different stakeholder groups
We are working in some exciting times in education. Sharing the good things that are happening in our school board is inspiring others and giving hope to many more. Next year we plan to continue this grassroots initiative by posting a story on all 182 instructional days.
We would like to offer up a challenge to those who posted and to those who regularly visit CBE182. We challenge you to act as an ambassador and identify another individual to share their own personal story of learning. They can be within your building or at another school. They can be a teacher, student, parent or a member of any other stakeholder group. Together we can continue to strengthen an already powerful community of learners. With your help, we can continue to build connections between the staff and students of the schools that are a part of the Calgary Board of Education.
Thank you for all your support.
